Overview
The client is a top southern California resort and casino featuring an outlet center. The property includes 237 rooms and suites, as well as a casino with over 2,000 slot machines, 86 table games, and various dining options. There are also bingo and off-track betting facilities, concert venues, and various indoor and outdoor meeting spaces available on the property.
Challenge
Our client wanted to create a portal for enrolling players into their “Player Club” to become members and enjoy perks such as generous free play and VIP reservations. They wanted members at different levels to earn redeemable points for rewards like free play cash, cash back, hotel stays, dining, retail purchases, spa visits, and salon services. We successfully designed and implemented this portal, resulting in an increase in player enrollment and satisfaction with the rewards program.
Solution
To solve the client’s need for a Players Club Portal, we used Angular JS and the MVC framework for the user interface and presentation. The business objects were designed using C# and the .NET framework. We implemented a data access layer and used entity framework to fetch data from the SQL Server database. This enabled us to create a functional and visually appealing portal for enrolling players and managing their membership in the Player Club.
